The Goal of Psychotherapy
My goal in therapy is to establish an open and collaborative relationship with the client. Through conversations we will work to eliminate the problems that brought you to therapy in the first place, and to do so in as efficient a manner as possible. Once symptoms are eliminated, the person is free to make life choices, being in charge of oneself rather than merely reacting to external stressors.

Psychotherapy provides insight.

Emotions in Psychotherapy
Emotion is a physiological response. It is a “gut feeling”, a visceral feeling which has a somatic (physically felt) marker such as clenched fist, jaw tension or a headache.

Root Causes of Problems
At the root of psychological discomfort is the human tendency
to focus away from painful anxiety-provoking disturbance.
